GERALD M. WELT

GERALD M. WELT received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He has been in practice since 1973. Mr. Welt specializes in Worker's Compensation and Social Security Disability law. He has served on the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association Board of Governors since 1979 as a board member, Treasurer, President-Elect, President and Chief Administrative Officer. He has been co-chair of Citizens For Justice since 1992. He was a member of the President's Council of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and is a moderator and instructor for the People's Law School for Worker's Compensation and Social Security Disability. As a member of both the Professionalism and Lawyer’s Information and Referral Services Committees, he is very active within the State Bar of Nevada. He is general legal counsel for the Las Vegas Clark County Library District. He has served as a member of the State of Nevada Medical Dental Screening Panel since its inception. He is a member of the court appointed arbitration panel and has acted as arbitrator in multiple cases since 1996. He is a member and past State Chairman for the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR). Welt has been named as a Colleague of the Nevada Law Foundation. He also has familiarity with Homeowners Associations as he has served homeowners Associations as various officers, Board Members and counsel. He has volunteered in a variety of capacities for numerous charitable and non-profit organizations.

LAURA STUBBERUD

LAURA STUBBERUD received her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California. She has been in practice since 1992 and is admitted to both the Nevada and California bars. Probate and Estate Planning are her emphasized areas of practice as well as preparing wills, trusts, living wills, and directives for our clients.

Ms. Stubberud was formerly associated with the law firm of Crockett and Myers and was a partner in the firm of Lavelle-Stubberud & Associates. Her association with attorney Gerald M. Welt has been on-going for several years, as she has served his clients in the areas of probate and estate planning. Stubberud has formally affiliated herself with the firm of Gerald M. Welt, Chartered as an associate member. Stubberud also has experience in commercial and residential real estate, including sales contracts, homeowners association issues and sales and leasing of real property.

Laura Stubberud is a member of the Nevada Bar Association the Clark County Bar Association, the California Bar Association, the American Bar Association.
