GERALD M. WELT

GERALD M. WELT received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He has been in practice since 1973. Mr. Welt specializes in Worker's Compensation and Social Security Disability law. He has served on the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association Board of Governors since 1979 as a board member, Treasurer, President-Elect, President and Chief Administrative Officer. He has been co-chair of Citizens For Justice since 1992. He was a member of the President's Council of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and is a moderator and instructor for the People's Law School for Worker's Compensation and Social Security Disability. As a member of both the Professionalism and Lawyer’s Information and Referral Services Committees, he is very active within the State Bar of Nevada. He is general legal counsel for the Las Vegas Clark County Library District. He has served as a member of the State of Nevada Medical Dental Screening Panel since its inception. He is a member of the court appointed arbitration panel and has acted as arbitrator in multiple cases since 1996. He is a member and past State Chairman for the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR). Welt has been named as a Colleague of the Nevada Law Foundation. He also has familiarity with Homeowners Associations as he has served homeowners Associations as various officers, Board Members and counsel. He has volunteered in a variety of capacities for numerous charitable and non-profit organizations.
